Pai Mu Tan, also known as Bai Mu Dan or White Peony, is a type of white tea originating from Fujian, China. It is characterized by its delicate flavor and floral notes, reminiscent of peony blossoms. The tea consists of big, full leaves and downy-hair leaf buds, mixed in colors of white, olive green, and brown. It has a full-bodied, herbaceous, and sweet flavor with notes of flowers, honey, and ripe fruit. The mouthfeel is velvety. The brewed tea is pale to medium dark yellow in color.
